J-Rock band WENDY releases first studio album

The first studio album of up-and-coming Japanese rock band WENDY is now available. Listen to the 70’s and 80’s inspired “Don’t waste my YOUTH” on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify and iTunes.

Formed in 2020, the Tokyo-based four-member band struggled in getting their music out to the public due to the pandemic, but persevered with their mantra to “not waste a moment of their youth.” A chance encounter with Grammy Award winner Marc Whitmore lead him to joining the band as sound producer for “Don’t waste my YOUTH.” Forming WENDY is vocalist and guitarist Skye McKenzie, drummer Sena, bassist Johnny Vincent, and guitarist Paul. As many of the band members are of English and Russian descent, it was only natural for them to compose their songs in English for a wider audience.

Leading up to the release of “Don’t waste my YOUTH” are five singles: “Rock n Roll is Back,” “Devil’s Kiss,” “When U Played Me,” “Pretty in pink,” and “Runaway.”

WENDY is looking to tour the world, but their first stop is an event with K-Pop band W24 at Seoul, South Korea’s Rolling Hall venue on September 5th, 2023.
