The next chapter in Luffy and the Straw Hats’ adventure to find the legendary One Piece treasure continues with the Egghead Arc which starts on January 7th, 2024 according to Toei Animation.
A 30-second teaser trailer and key visual artwork were included to build hype for the new episodes coinciding with the anime’s 25th anniversary, which premiered on October 20th, 1999.
The Straw Hats sail to the wondrously ultra-modern Egghead Island, home base of the scientist Dr. Vegapunk. However, the doctor’s research has raised red flags, setting events into play that will affect the rest of the world.
Written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is among the most popular anime and manga series of all time. Since its debut in 1997, the manga is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and available translated into English for North American readers from Viz Media, while the anime is currently simulcast on Crunchyroll in subbed and dubbed formats.
