Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space

Cineplex to show three classic Gundam films in October

Get ready for an exciting adventure on the big screen as Cineplex will screen all three original Mobile Suit Gundam films in theatres across Canada throughout the month of October.

The classic 1980s trilogy recaps the success of the original 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. Each film is being shown for two dates only and in Japanese with English subtitles.

War has broken out between the human colonies in space. Helping evacuate his neighbours, a teenager named Amuro Ray finds himself upon an un-manned Mobile Suit — the RX-78-2. Taking control, he swiftly eliminates the attacking Duchy of Zeon’s Zaku units, setting forth his new destiny with Earth’s Federation Forces.

Mobile Suit Gundam I premiered in Japan in 1981, followed by Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow the same year, and then Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space in 1982.
