Shonen Jump celebrates Naruto’s birthday with music video

October 10th is Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday and the Shonen Jump imprint of Japanese publishing giant Shueisha has prepared a special music video to mark the occasion.

The video is a montage of manga scenes featuring Naruto Uzumaki and Shikamaru Nara set to “Blood Circulator” by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, which was used as the 19th opening to the Naruto Shippuden anime.

Shikamaru celebrates his birthday on July 15th.

The Shonen Jump YouTube channel is home to many other music videos from characters under the Jump imprint umbrella including Gintama, Haikyu!!, and My Hero Academia.

Naruto was created by Masashi Kishimoto and serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from September 21st, 1999 to November 10th, 2014. The sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, is a collaboration between Kishimoto as writer and Mikio Ikemoto as illustrator, began serialization on May 9th, 2016 in Weekly Shonen Jump before transitioning to the monthly V Jump on July 20th, 2019.
