Ride free with TransLink on New Year’s Eve

While there’s no fireworks downtown to celebrate the arrival of 2025, TransLink is once again offering free rides on its services across Metro Vancouver. From 5:00 pm PST on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 until 5:00 am Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 fares are waived for SkyTrain, SeaBus, bus and West Coast Express.

All transit services will operate on an extended weekday schedule with an extra hour added to accommodate late-night revelers.

SkyTrain

Expo Line

Last train leaves Waterfront towards King George at 2:16 m
Last train leaves Waterfront towards Lougheed at 2:11 am
Last train leaves Waterfront towards Production Way-University at 1:40 am

Millennium Line

Last train leaves VCC-Clark towards Lafarge Lake-Douglas at 2:22 am
Last train leaves Lafarge Lake-Douglas towards VCC-Clark at 1:58 am

Canada Line

Last train leaves Waterfront towards YVR-Airport Station at 2:05 am
Last train leaves Waterfront towards Richmond-Brighouse at 2:15 am
Last train leaves Richmond-Brighouse towards Waterfront at 1:46 am
Last train leaves YVR-Airport Station towards Waterfront at 1:54 am

Bus

An additional 52 buses are being added to increase frequency on select routes

SeaBus

15 minute service until 1:22 am between Waterfront and Lonsdale.
30 minute service until 2:22 am (final sailing)

West Coast Express

Trains depart at 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:20 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:20 pm

On Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, SkyTrain, SeaBus and bus service will follow their Sunday/holiday schedule which runs later and on a reduced timetable. West Coast Express will not operate.

TransLink’s Customer Service Centre, Access Transit Customer Care Office and Lost Property Office will be closed and re-open on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.
