Step into the world of Naruto Shippuden with Converse. The iconic sneaker brand has given its classic Chuck Taylor All Star High Top a shinobi makeover based on characters from the popular anime and manga series.

Of course Converse selected fan favourites Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Gaara, and Itachi Uchiha.

The footwear company went all out, bringing details of each character unique to their shoe, complete with an embroidered Chuck Taylor patch with a star-inspired shuriken, and a silver heel tag shaped like a ninja headband.

For Naruto’s pair, it’s his orange and black jumpsuit colours, with a copy of his Eight Trigrams Seal used to contain fox demon Kurama within, on the outside.

Naruto’s rival, Sasuke, recreates the pale theme of his outfit, with the rope belt as laces, his shoulder’s Cursed Seal of Heaven mark and pattern near the heel.

Recreate Kakashi’s days in ANBU with this barely grey and dark waters coloured pair. On the heel is the handle of his short sword, and his left arm’s red tattoo. Flip the tongue cover to reveal Obito Uchiha’s sharingan…

Gaara’s pair comes in his signature red, replete with his forehead’s “love” tattoo and the designs from his sand gourd. Inside the tongue, is a small image of Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast.

Itachi Uchiha gets a different sneaker, the 80’s-styled Weapon, in full Akatsuki colours. A replica of the scratched-out Village Hidden in the Leaves headband adorns the laces, while each tongue has his sharingan and ring character for “vermilion”.

In addition to these high tops, Converse will have shirts, a jacket and a backpack available at launch on Thursday, May 22^nd, 2025.

Prices for the Chuck Taylor models are $90.00 CAD, while the Weapon model goes for $150.00 CAD on Converse’s website here in Canada. Don’t sit on them for too long, lest they disappear like one of Naruto’s shadow clones!
