First season of Sakamoto Days continues in July

Part two of the first season of Sakamoto Days is scheduled to stream on Netflix starting Monday, July 14th, 2025. A new trailer teased some of the upcoming fights as well as a new opening song.

Taro Sakamoto and his friends must contend not only with The Order but also with X (Slur), throwing his once-tranquil life into chaos.

The trailer includes a snippet of “Method,” the latest opening theme from the five-member Japanese funk rock band Kroi.

Season one of Sakamoto Days is split into two cours — part one, which contains 11 episodes, premiered on January 11th, 2025.

Netflix, the official streaming platform for Sakamoto Days, describes the upcoming cour as:

Once the greatest hitman of all, Taro Sakamoto retired in the name of love. But when his past catches up, he must fight to protect his beloved family.

Written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, Sakamoto Days began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2020. In North America, VIZ Media publishes the English-translated manga in digital in print formats.
