Second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes scheduled for 2026

Following the broadcast of the final episode of the first season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Toho Co., Ltd. announced that a second season is set to premiere in 2026, accompanied by a teaser trailer and key visual.

Crunchyroll will stream the new season exclusively on their platform worldwide, outside of Asia, next year.

Crunchyroll also provided a synopsis of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 1 in a press release.

Koichi Haimawari is a dull college student who aspires to be a hero but has given up on his dream. Although 80% of the world’s population has superhuman powers called Quirks, few are chosen to become heroes and protect people. Everything changes for Koichi when he and Pop☆Step are saved by the vigilante Knuckleduster and get recruited to become vigilantes themselves!

The first season was directed by Kenichi Suzuki, with series composition and script by Yosuke Kuroda, character designs by Takahiko Yoshida, art direction by Yukihiro Watanabe, colour designs by Haruko Nobori, 3DCG director Mizuki Sasaki, photography by Eiei Cho, editing by Kiyoshi Hirose, music by Yuki Hayashi, Shogo Yamashiro, and Yuki Furuhashi, sound direction by Masafumi Mima, and animation production by Bones Film.

Appearing in the first season are Shuichiro Umeda as the voice of Koichi Haimawari (The Crawler), Ikumi Hasegawa as Kazuho Haneyama (Pop☆Step), Yasuhiro Mamiya as Knuckleduster, Sayaka Senbongi as Kuin Hachisuka, Asami Seto as Makoto Tsukauchi, and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Christopher Skyline (Captain Celebrity).

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a prequel manga to Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. It was originally serialized in Jump Giga before moving to Shonen Jump+, running from August 20th, 2016, to May 28th, 2022. In North America, VIZ Media publishes the English translation in both print and digital formats.
