Nintendo unveiled a new game that combines the universes of Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem together. Atlus and Intellegent Systems are working on this crossover that’s tentatively titled Shin-Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem for the Wii U.

The 40-second trailer is eye candy only – no game play, just artwork of characters from the Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem series. In addition to the popular Marth, Roy and Lilina from Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi make an appearance, along with Eliwood from Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken and Ike from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

The Shin Megami Tensei series is a role-playing game that originally was released in 1993 on the Super Famicom system in Japan. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey was recently published for the Nintendo DS in 2010.
