This Saturday, February 15th, 2020, Crunchyroll is hosting their fourth annual Anime Awards on their web site, Facebook, YouTube and Twitch, with streaming non-stop select shows the week leading up to the big day!

This year, from February 10th-11th, the streaming platform is serving up 24 hours of Mob Psycho 100 II, Sarazanmai, The Rising of the Shield Hero, given, Ascendance of a Bookworm, My Roommate is a Cat, KONOSUBA -God’s Blessing on this wonderful world! Katana Maidens ~ Mini Toji, Girly Air Force, Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan, BLACKFOX, Kemono Friends 2, and Shonen Ashibe GO! GO! Goma-chan. This marathon, however, is limited to the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Netherland, Denmark, and countries in Central America, and South America.

For 2020, over 11 million fans have voted for their favourite shows, an incredible increase from the five million who participated in 2019! The Anime Awards will be shown live The host for this year is WWE Superstar Xavier Woods (AKA Austin Creed), along with guest presenters, including KING VADER, a leader of anime in the hip-hop community, who’s also an actor, director and innovator!

  • Best Boy
  • Best Girl
  • Best Score
  • Best Voice Actor Performance (Japanese)
  • Best Voice Actor Performance (English)

  • Best Protagonist
  • Best Antagonist
  • Best Fight Scene
  • Best Couple
  • Best Drama
  • Best Fantasy
  • Best Comedy

Crunchyroll is also hosting watch parties in Sydney, Australia; São Paulo, Brazil; Richmond, BC and Toronto, ON, in Canada; and Fort Worth, TX and New York City, NY in the United States.

Sponsors for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards are Bokksu, a subscription service for Japanese snacks and storytelling, and Naruto Slugfest, an upcoming game that launches later this Spring.

Crunchyroll will also hold contests during the awards, where fans can enter a Bokksu give away on Twitter, while US-based fans will have an opportunity at one of three custom-made Crunchyroll-Hime skinned Xbox consoles by using the #himexbox hashtag in the livestream chats on Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.
