Get ready to fight evil by moonlight and skateboard with a pair of Sailor Moon-themed Vans by daylight with a new collection featuring the best of the legendary anime and manga series coming to a store soon!

Vans officially confirmed this collaboration with a brief video highlighting a few pairs and tops on their Instagram page earlier today.

At first glance, there’s the hightop Sk8-Hi model decorated with Sailor Moon’s iconic outfit with a gel-like sole decorated with the emblems of the other Guardians. The Old Skool low model is highlighted with scenes from the anime in patches mixed with Vans’ classic checkerboard pattern. Top things off with a long-sleeve tee that emulates Usagi’s uniform or go all out with the tye-dye hoodie of Usagi wielding the Moon Stick (or Crescent Moon Wand if you watched the DiC dub in the ’90s).

What was shown isn’t the full line-up and closer to the official release, it’s expected more items will make an appearance. No date was provided for when these shoes and shirts will go up for sale.

Created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon, or Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, sees bored Japanese high school student Usagi Tsukino transform into the hero Sailor Moon to defend the Earth from the same evil forces that destroyed the prosperous Moon Kingdom a millennia in the past.

Since first being published in 1991, fans around the globe have flocked to the series which was adapted into multiple anime series, movies, video games and stage plays — in North America, the manga is available from Kodansha Comics, with the English-dubbed anime from Viz Media.
