The gates at Hastings Park open on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 for the PNE Fair with two weeks packed full of food, music, games, rides and fun to make up for closures over the last two years.

Attractions this year include the famous canines of the SuperDogs, the mesmerizing Peking Acrobats, livestock displays, drag shows, cooking demonstrations, the PNE Prize Home and more! Hop back into the seat of the classic wooden roller coaster or try out Playland’s newest attraction: Skybender (the Music Express and Crazy Beach Party rides were removed earlier this year to make room for Skybender).

While there’s a huge selection of food available at the Fair, fans looking for mini donuts from Those Little Donuts are out of luck. A staple at the PNE since 1976, the Calgary-based snack specialists weren’t able to secure a booth this year. Fear not, as three other mini donut purveyors will serve up the tiny treats in their place (although longtime fans may argue it’s not the same).

Mini Donuts!
It’s not the PNE without mini donuts!

The Summer Night Concerts has a stellar line-up with The B-52s, Blue Rodeo, Barenaked Ladies with Kim Mitchell, CAKE, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Gypsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes, Chicago, Steve Miller Band, TLC and Shaggy, Brothers Osborne, Nelly, Bachman Cummings, Chaka Khan, and Patti LaBelle. Additional tickets separate from the fair admission are required to catch these performances.

This year, there are still capacity limitations so those looking to attend must buy their tickets in advance and are available for purchase online. The PNE Fair is open 11:00 am until 11:00 pm from August 20th until September 5th, 2022 and is closed Monday August 22nd and Monday, August 29th.

Parking is limited and the best way to visit the PNE Fair is by transit! Take the Millennium Line to Rupert Station and exit for the 27 bus, or alight at Renfrew Station for the 16 bus to get to Hastings Park.
