It’s a hit! Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero took top spot in its opening weekend with $20.1 million USD in ticket sales across the United States according to Crunchyroll.

The movie premiered in Canada and the United States on Friday, August 19th, 2022 dubbed in English and in its original Japanese with subtitles. In Canada, theatre chains Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas have regular screenings of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

The Red Ribbon Army is making a comeback. Magenta recruits Dr. Hedo, the grandson of Dr. Gero, to make this ambition a reality and the only thing standing in their way of revenge is Goku and his friends. Dr. Hedo creates two new androids as part of Magenta’s plan to destroy Goku and Capsule Corporation once and for all.

Fans may recognize some of the voices as the English cast are reprising their roles.
