A second season and an OVA are in the works for skateboarding anime Sk8 the Infinity, commonly referred to as SK∞, according to a post on Twitter and the series’ web site.

Staff who worked on the first season of SK∞ are returning, with Hiroko Utsumi as director, music composer Ichiro Okochi, character designer Michinori Chiba and animation by Bones.

Season one of SK∞ is composed of 12 episodes which aired January 10th, 2021 until April 4th, 2021 and is available on streaming services like Crunchyroll.

Reki drags the new transfer student Langa to a late-night no-holds-barred downhill skateboard race called “S”. Langa, who used to snowboard in Canada, must now find his balance as he becomes friends with Reki and enters the race against some of the best skaters on the island.

No dates were included on when the new season and OVA will broadcast.
