Work on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is on pause with the publication of chapter 80 in the upcoming June 2023 edition of Shueisha’s monthly V Jump.

The announcement was posted to social media on the Japanese Naruto Twitter account.

Translated, the tweet reads: V Jump June extra large issue released today. #Boruto Chapter 80 “If you’re a father…!” We will be taking a break from the next issue. It will resume in the October issue of V Jump (released in August). A new chapter rushes from the restart issue. Volume 20 of the manga will be released on Friday, June 2nd.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is written by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto and has appeared in Shueisha’s V Jump since July 2019, before which it was in Weekly Shonen Jump. In North America, Viz Media publishes the English-translated versions in both print and digital formats.

The first part of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime concluded with the airing of episode 293 on Sunday, March 26th, 2023. Part two is under development with no known broadcast date.
