In celebration of Inosuke Hashibira’s birthday, which is today, April 22nd, the Jump Comics Channel on YouTube has uploaded a brief video of the boar-masked Demon Slayer.

The video contains a selection of his appearances from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga set to upbeat rock music. Inosuke, almost always seen shirtless and wearing his boar mask (that obscures his flowing black and blue hair), has mastered a unique fighting style defined by himself as Beast Breathing. Bearing dual serrated Nichirin swords, Inosuke slices-n-dices his way through most demons, often taunting them while doing so. When not in battle, he repeatedly challenges others, namely Tanjiro Kamado, to fight him in a determined effort to show off his strength. The young Demon Slayer also has habit of hilariously mispronouncing names, frequently referring to Tanjiro as Gonpachiro, Tontaro, and Tanpachiro.

Written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between February 15th, 2016 and May 18th, 2020; in North America, the English-translated manga is available in print and digital formats from Viz Media.

A third season of the anime adaptation of the manga is currently being broadcast and streaming to global audiences on Crunchyroll.
