Nothing says summer like fireworks on the beach! The Honda Celebration of Light returns to Vancouver’s English Bay for three nights this July, and we’ve learned which countries will showcase for 2023.

Up first, on Saturday, July 22nd is Australia with a performance by Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics, followed by Mexico’s Grupo AVACON on Wednesday, July 26th, and with Blue Peacock Fireworks from the Philippines closing the series out on Saturday, July 29th.

Traditionally, the final night of the pyrotechnical presentation is held during the BC Day long weekend, the first weekend of August. For 2023, the Honda Celebration of Light event is scheduled a full week before the provincial holiday.

On show days, live music, food trucks and other entertainment take place on the shores of English Bay; the fireworks display begins promptly at 10:00 pm PDT, with each performance, set to music, runs approximately 25 minutes. While it is free to sit on the beach and along the seawall, a number of open air lounges and grand stand-style seating require pre-paid tickets.
