Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO

Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO explodes onto Crunchyroll tomorrow

The most recent Dragon Ball flick hits Crunchyroll on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 with all the action from the big screen both subtitled and dubbed!

Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO landed in cinemas first in Japan on June 11th, 2022, followed by a global release across 100 countries — including Canada — where it was dubbed into 13 languages and subtitled in 29. According to Crunchyroll, which coordinated the distribution of the movie, it accumulated $96 million USD in global ticket sales.

The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes”. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!

The movie was animated using a computer-generated cel-shading style, going a different route than its 2018 predecessor Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama was deeply involved with the project, drafting the screenplay, with Tetsuro Kodama serving as director.
