The first of four new anime episodes of the original Naruto series were scheduled to broadcast on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 are now postponed, according to the official Naruto website.
The delay was attributed to the team at Pierrot working on improving the quality of animation before it hits the airwaves. The episodes were slated to appear on TV Tokyo and its affiliate channels across Japan through the month of September.
A new date was not provided for when the episodes would be broadcast.
In celebration for the 20th anniversary of the anime, a number of events were scheduled for fans across Japan, including live concerts, art galleries and pop-up shops selling special shinobi goods.
