The third season of the Blue Exorcist anime will broadcast in January 2024 as revealed during the Aniplex Online Fest 2023. Titled Blue Exorcist -Shimane Illuminati Saga-, details regarding the cast and crew alongside a teaser poster and promotional video were shared on social media.
Crew working on the new episodes are director Daisuke Yoshida, series composer Toshiya Ohno, character designer Yurie Daito, with music composed by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano, and animation production by Studio VOLN. A-1 Pictures previously animated the first two seasons.
The Japanese voice cast features Nobuhiko Okamoto as Rin Okumura, Jun Fukuyama as Yukio Okumura, Kana Hanazawa as Shiemi Moriyama, Kazyua Nakai as Ryuji Suguro, Koji Yusa as Shima Renzo, Yuki Kaji as Konekomaru Miwa, Eri Kitamura as Konekomaru Miwa, Ayahi Takagaki as Kuro, Rina Sato as Shura Kirigakure, and Hiroshi Kamiya as Mephisto Pheles.
Blue Exorcist is written and illustrated by Kazue Kato and is serialized in Shueisha’s monthly Jump Square magazine since April 4th, 2009. In North America, Viz Media publishes the English-translated manga in print and digital formats.
