A brief clip from the opening scene for the Special Story Mode in Bandai Namco’s upcoming action fighter Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections was shared to YouTube and social media channels this evening.
Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, as they appear in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, have once again turned on themselves. In the 90-second clip, set within a rain-soaked valley, Sasuke is seen casting Amaterasu in defense of Naruto’s Rasenshuriken. As the two shinobi lock arms in battle, it only heightens the tension between them and leaves a lot to imagine about the source of their struggle.
Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is the latest in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series developed by CyberConnect2 Co., Ltd. and will feature the largest playable roster of characters — more than 130 — from Masashi Kishimoto’s legendary manga. The game has a number of modes to play through — relive the Naruto story in History Mode, an all new Special Story Mode, Free Battle against in offline play, or Network Battle with ninjas from around the world! As in previous titles, players can customize their characters through special promotions.
Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections launches on November 17th, 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
