Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Update on Demon Slayer anime scheduled for December 10

A video update regarding the upcoming fourth season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is planned for Sunday, December 10th, 2023 according to a post on X/Twitter.

Translated, the post reads that a “Promotion Reel 2024 will deliver the latest information on the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It is scheduled to release on Sunday, December 10th, 2023 and to wait for further information.”

Promotion Reels are brief videos that contain clips taken from previous arcs, linking them together in a linear storyline.

An announcement this past June revealed a fourth season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will adapt the Hashira Training Arc from the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge. A release date is not yet known.

In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, teenage Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko survive the slaughter of their family at the hands of demon Muzan Kibutsuji. Vowing take to revenge and return Nezuko to her human form, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps in partnership with the panicky Zenitsu Agatsuma and the boar-masked Inosuke Hashibira, in a quest to hunt down and defeat Muzan once and for all.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between February 15th, 2016 and May 18th, 2020; in North America, Viz Media publishes the manga in print and digital formats. The anime premiered on April 6th, 2019; Crunchyroll is licensed to stream the series outside of Asia.
