Anime streaming platform HIDIVE has announced they are ceasing to offer services outside of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia as of December 31st, 2023.
Founded in 2017, HIDIVE has offered anime series not available on other platforms with competitive pricing over other established providers. Originally a subsidiary of Sentai Filmworks, they were acquired by US media giant AMC Networks in 2022. Earlier this year, they partnered with Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) to simulcast the latter’s programming lineup for a global audience.
A support article posted on Monday to the HIDIVE website contains a brief statement regarding the cessation of services outside of North America on December 14th, 2023, with account holders being able to watch content up until the end of December.
