Crunchyroll to stream seventh season of My Hero Academia starting May 4

It’s an all out battle as the heroes of U.A. High School take on the Tomura Shigaraki in the seventh season of My Hero Academia, which Crunchyroll will stream starting at 2:30 am PDT (5:30 am EDT) on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.

Additionally, Crunchyroll will also stream My Hero Academia: Memories, a four-episode collection recapping the series thus far, from Deku’s entrance at U.A. High School through last season’s Dark Hero arc. My Hero Academia: Memories begins at 2:30 am PDT (5:30 am EDT) on Saturday, April 6th, 2024

Season seven adapts the events starting in chapter 329 which will feature several intense battles and the first appearance of the United States’ pro hero, Star and Stripe.

Working on the new season are director Naomi Nakayama, writer Yosuke Kuroda, chief director Kenji Nagasaki, character designers Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima, art directors Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama, colour designer Kazuko Kikuchi, cinematographer Takafumi Sawa, editor Kumiko Sakamoto, sound director Masafumi Mima, and music composer Yuki Hayashi, with animation production by BONES. The opening theme is “Tagatame” performed by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.

My Hero Academia is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 7th, 2014. Viz Media publishes the English-translated manga in both print and digital formats for the North American market. The anime debuted on April 3rd, 2016 and is streamed globally outside of Asia on Crunchyroll.
