Global streaming powerhouse Netflix has secured the distribution for the most recent film based on Naoko Takeuchi’s hit manga Sailor Moon. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie arrives August 22nd, 2024 on Netflix according to a post shared on Twitter/X.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie adapts the final chapters of the legendary series, the Shadow Galactica arc. Intent on commanding the universe, a new organization called Shadow Galactica begins by targeting the Sailor Guardians, in an attempt to limit Sailor Moon’s strength. Can Sailor Moon battle this new enemy and save those closest to her?
The film is directed by Tomoya Takahashi, with a screenplay by Kazuyiki Fudeyasu, producers Hideharu Gomi and Seira Takano, music composition by Yasuharu Takanashi, and animation production by Toei Animation and Studio Deen.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie originally premiered in Japanese theatres in two parts, first on June 9th, 2023, followed by the second on June 30th, 2023.
