SPY×FAMILY anime cleared for third season

Operation Strix will continue as a third season of the hit anime series SPY×FAMILY was officially confirmed earlier today.

The announcement was posted to Twitter/X and included a special visual by art director Yuni Yoshida. In the illustration, Anya Forger is curled up with Bond, surrounded by their toys, homework, and other objects. A star shape is formed from five sources, including a cracked door where the feet of Loid and Yor Forger stand, hinting at the Stellas Anya must obtain at school.

A date for when the third season of the anime will air was not provided.

Ostania and Westalis are at war — Westalis calls up their best spy, codenamed “Twilight”, to infiltrate and mingle with Ostania’s crème de la crème of society. Twilight — now as Loid Forger — builds his family; his new wife Yor and adopted daughter Anya have their own special skills, unbeknownst to each other. This makes for unpredictable scenarios where each of their own true identities must remain a secret for the success of their mission.

SPY×FAMILY is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo which is serialized in Shueisha’s online platform Shonen Jump+ in Japan and by Viz Media in North America. It is also available on the MANGA Plus app. The first two seasons of the anime currently stream on Crunchyroll globally outside of Asia.
