The highly anticipated matchup between Karasuno High and Nekoma High is coming to Crunchyroll on Thursday, October 31st, 2024 at 5:00 pm PDT.
Crunchyroll will stream HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle globally excluding Asia, South Africa, and France, in Japanese with subtitles and dubbed in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, and Catalan.
HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle opened in theatres across Canada earlier in May; overall, the film amassed over $100 million USD in ticket sales worldwide.
Crunchyroll provided a synopsis of the film in a press release.
HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle follows Shoyo Hinata as he joins Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But, Hinata soon finds that he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long-awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?
The film was directed by Susumu Mitsunaka, who also wrote the screenplay, based on an original story by Haruichi Furudate, with animation production by Production I.G.

HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, which opened in Japanese theatres on February 16th, 2024, is one of two films to close out the anime series adapted from the manga by Haruichi Furudate. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 20th, 2012 until July 20th, 2020 while the anime aired from April 6th, 2014 until December 19th, 2020. Crunchyroll holds the license to stream the anime and movies in North America.
