Anime film Trapezium is now available on Crunchyroll

Becoming the next idol is not an easy journey. Trapezium, the pop idol drama film by Kazumi Takayama, director Masahiro Shinohara and studio CloverWorks, is now streaming on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll provided a synopsis of the film.

High school student Yu Azuma will do whatever it takes to become an idol. She’s even sworn to stay off social media and promises not to get a boyfriend. Ready to make her dream a reality, she decides to find three other girls from the four corners of her prefecture to form an idol group. But the road to stardom hides unexpected trials that threaten to undo all she’s worked for.

Trapezium is based on the novel of the same name written by Kazumi Takayama, was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Da Vinci magazine between April 2016 and August 2018. The film is directed by Masahiro Shinohara, with a screenplay written by Yuko Kakihara, music composition by Masaru Yokoyama and animation production by CloverWorks. The film opened in Japanese theatres on May 10th, 2024, followed by a Canadian release on September 18th, 2024.
