As part of the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Blossoms After Dark transforms the ephemeral cherry trees throughout David Lam Park into a colourful, and bright, wonderland.
The two day event, held Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th, 2026, featured live music, food trucks, local artisans and plenty of opportunities for photos. These photos are from Saturday evening.
Last year, I struggled to get decent shots with my camera, so this time I swapped my prime lens for a zoom — and the results are a marked improvement. With cooperative weather and akebono trees in full bloom, the event was a great success!
