Volpatti leaves, Sestito joins

A day after the Washington Capitals snatched Aaron Volpatti off waivers, the Vancouver Canucks picked up left-winger Tom Sestito from the Philadelphia Flyers, also off waivers.

Sestito played in seven games of the 2012-2013 season, scoring two goals along with 12 penalty minutes. The 25 year-old, from Rome, New York was picked 85th overall in the third round by the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Volpatti, from Revelstoke, British Columbia, had scored only one goal and racked up 28 penalty minutes in 16 games of the 2012-2013 season with the Canucks.
