Barely a day after Mike Gillis was relieved of his position as president and general manager for the Vancouver Canucks, a familiar face makes a return. Former captain Trevor Linden has been announced as the new president of hockey operations for the Vancouver Canucks.

During a press interview this morning, co-owner Francesco Aquilini introduced Trevor Linden to the media before hosting a question and answer session.

Linden, who hails from Medicine Hat, Alberta, retired in 2008 after playing some 20 years in the NHL. Linden has also worked with NHL Players Association both as a representative and president.
