PlayStation Stars, Tekken, PS VR2 shine during September State of Play

This afternoon, Sony held a 22-minute-long State of Play video event to share details of upcoming games and services coming to the PS4, PS5 and PS VR2 gaming systems.

The God of War Ragnarök

Kratos is back, journeying to the world of Norse lore with a new partner and path to forge in creating their own future. A limited-edition DualSense controller decorated with the emblems for Kratos and Atreus — a bear and wolf — was also revealed.
Available on PS4 and PS5 on November 9th, 2022.

Synduality

In an apocalyptical world soaked by deadly rain and besieged by monsters, humanity’s last hope relies on the player and their AI partner.
Available on PS5 in 2023.

Rise of the Ronin

19th century Japan is on the cusp of change, where the west has begun to permeate the waning days of the Tokugawa Shogunate. As a wandering Ronin, explore the island nation and employ the skills you have to survive this tumultuous historic period.
Available on PS5 in 2024.

Stellar Blade

Formerly titled Project Eve, Stellar Blade revolves around Eve as she and her partners work to restore a long-destroyed Earth. Eve, together with Adam, the last survivor, venture towards the city of Xion, a remnant of humanity, to start rebuilding.
Available on PS5 in 2023.

PlayStation Stars digital collectibles

Earn unique rewards as part of the free-to-join PlayStation Stars loyalty program. These collectibles are digital items to recognize reaching specific milestones, purchase of a product, activities and challenges. Demonstrated during the State of Play video are a scene of Punto the gondolier from Ape Escape 2, the PlayStation 3 and PocketStation systems, Toro and Kuro celebrating a birthday, Chord Machine, and Polygon Man.

PlayStation Stars will launch in Asia first later this month, and gradually roll out to North America and the rest of the world.

Hogwarts Legacy

Return to the Wizarding World in Hogwarts Legacy. As a student of Hogwarts, you must use your rare power to keep a terrible evil from being unleashed upon the world. New and familiar faces from the world of Harry Potter will make this a memorable adventure.
Available on PS4 and PS5 on February 10th, 2023.

Pacific Drive

After the US government acquired Washington state’s Olympic Peninsula, it blocked off the landmass after experiments to improve humanity, one after another, failed. During a road trip, the player finds themselves inside the exclusion zone and must use whatever they can scrounge up to repair their car and make it out… alive.
Available on PS5 in 2023.

Like a Dragon: Ishin

Venture back into 1860’s Japan and watch the time of the samurai vanish while exploring the streets of Kyo. Choose the sword of a samurai or opt for the precision of a revolver in an era of lawlessness.
Available on PS4 and PS5 in February 2023.

Demeo

Delve into the immersive world of table-top dungeon gaming with Demeo. Utilizing the capabilities of the PS VR2, each game piece picked up will feel different, where as being buffeted by magic attacks will shake you to the core.
Available on PS5 and PS VR2 in 2023.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge

Start your adventure in the fringes of the Outer Rim repairing droids while avoiding the vicious troops of the Guavian Death Gang. Things get crazier that the famous Jedi master Yoda, astromech droid R2-D2, protocol unit C-3PO and Hondo Ohnaka get involved, paving the way for your own chance at becoming a hero of the galaxy.

Tekken 8

The King of Iron Fist Tournament is coming to the PS5! Battle it out for greatness with a full blown roster of well known and incredibly powerful fighters. Tekken 8 is well under development by the Tekken Team at Bandai Namco, so details are limited at this time.
