My Hero Academia - Deku

New artwork of Deku to promote seventh season of My Hero Academia

While the seventh season of My Hero Academia is a ways off, a new image of a monochromatic Izuku “Deku” Midoriya was shared to Twitter to not only promote the upcoming anime, but to mark June 16th as “Hero Day.”

Wearing his UA High School outfit with a tattered yellow scarf, Deku stands, green eyes glaring atop text that reads “7th Season Coming,” while the Japanese text says “Never walk alone again.”

June 16th was chosen as Hero Day due to a number of factors, namely the third season battle between All Might and All For One broadcasting on this date. This year, it also includes special promotions at Animate stores across Japan.

Work on the upcoming season was announced upon the conclusion of season six in March of this year.

My Hero Academia is the anime adaptation of the manga by Kohei Horikoshi which is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Viz Media publishes the English-translated version in both print and digital formats for the North American market.
