Virtual singing sensation Hatsune Miku is returning to North America to perform live in concert with stops in Canada, the United States and Mexico for Miku Expo 2024, sponsored by Crunchyroll.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 tour, the Vocaloids are ready to hit the road again, though this time on Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON are the only Canadian cities on the list. It’s not known if more cities will be added to the schedule.

Vancouver is the first stop on the tour, at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre out at the University of British Columbia. There is onsite parking next to the arena; it is also served by multiple TransLink bus routes, including the R4 Rapid Bus.

Miku is a Vocaloid (a computer-generated vocalist) easily recognisable by her long turquoise twin-ponytails, who performs on stage as a 3D hologram backed by live musicians playing guitars, drums and keyboards. Joining Miku are other Vocaloids Kagamine Len and Rin, Kaito, Meiko and Megurine Luka. Fans around the world have composed songs with her voice using the Vocaloid software which is distributed by Crypton Future Media.
