Suzume

Makoto Shinkai’s movie Suzume returns to Canadian theatres this month

If you missed out on seeing Suzume on the big screen earlier this year, you’re in luck as Crunchyroll has opened the doors again, giving the movie a second run in North American theatres starting October 27th, 2023.

A list of participating theatres in Canada is expected later this month.

Suzume Iwato is just your average 17-year-old student, but when a stranger enlists her help to find a door on her home island of Kyushu, everything changes. Random doors around Japan become portals where chaos seeps into the world and it’s up to Suzume who must shut them at all costs.

Suzume premiered in Japanese theatres on November 11th, 2022; it opened in Canadian theatres on April 14th, 2023.
