A new video game based on Tite Kubo’s hit manga series Bleach was announced today, titled Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. The first teaser for the game was shared to social media and YouTube.
A musical collaboration between composer Takeharu Ishimoto and guitarist MIYAVI is used in the trailer.
Tamsoft Corporation is developing Bleach: Rebirth of Souls in partnership with publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment. The fighting game recreates scenes from the manga and anime series, allowing characters to battle with their swords and abilities either in single player or one-to-two players locally or online.
No release date for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls was provided, though it will be playable on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S consoles, as well as on PC.
The anime adaptation of Bleach is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary this year; it first aired on October 5th, 2004, completing its run on March 27th, 2012. A second series, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War began October 11th, 2022 and is currently streaming internationally on Disney+.
