RuriDragon

Promotional video released for second volume of RuriDragon manga

The second volume of RuriDragon by Masaoki Shindo went on sale Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, in Japan. To commemorate the occasion, a promotional video animating scenes from the manga was shared to the Official Shonen Jump YouTube channel.

In the video, the voice of Ruri Aoki is provided by Chiaki Omigawa.

Ruri Aoki is just like any other young girl, except that she wakes up one morning with a pair of dragon’s horns on her head! Once boring days at school have turned Ruri into the centre of attention as she struggles to understand why she’s half-human half-dragon!

RuriDragon initially appeared as a one-shot in Shueisha’s Jump Giga magazine, then began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump No. 26 on June 13th, 2022. It endured a two-year hiatus while Shindo addressed unspecified health concerns; the manga resumed earlier this year.

In North America, a digital edition of RuriDragon is available translated in English by Viz Media; a printed edition is expected in spring 2025.
