Dragon Ball Super: Beerus

Revamped Dragon Ball Super anime to air Fall 2026

As Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri continues its 40th anniversary celebrations, organizers announced that the Dragon Ball Super anime is being revisited.

Slated to air in the Fall of 2026, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an enhanced remake that includes new scenes, improvements to existing animation, newly recorded dubs and sound effects, as well as an update to the story which will bring it inline with Akira Toriyama’s original work.

A specific premiere date for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus was not provided.

Masaki Nozowa, the voice actor for Goku, Koichi Yamadera, the voice of Beerus, and Dragon Ball executive producer Akio Iyoku were present on stage for the announcement.

A key visual of Goku standing in front of Beerus threatening the Earth was shared on social media.

Dragon Ball Super aired across five story arcs between 2015 and 2018. Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from a dream, wishing to battle a worthy opponent called the Super Saiyan God. He sets his sights on Earth, intent on challenging the Super Saiyan God, thus triggering an epic battle with Goku and his friends. The manga was written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou.

Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri is currently streaming on YouTube in Japanese with English subtitles.
