Although it’s still technically winter, Vancouver’s Japan Market isn’t waiting for the trees to blossom when it comes to offering Japanese goods this weekend.
The weekend-long market takes place on Saturday, February 21st, and Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, inside UBC’s Robson Square campus, located at 800 Robson Street.
Life performances this year include the Southern Wave Okinawan Music and Dance Sociey, Shorinji Kempo BC, and the Vancouver Okinawa Taiko drummers. Of course, the immensely popular, and photogenic, samurai provide an excellent opportunity for a selfie or two.
Explore dozens of local vendors and artisans offering everything from kimonos, baked goods, soaps, handicrafts, jewelry, and zakka sellers.
Japan Market is open between 10:00 am through 5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is set at $5.00 CAD ($4.00 if purchased online early) is required to enter and explore the stalls. Save the hassle of finding parking by riding transit — the Robson Square is south of the Vancouver Art Gallery on Robson Street and Howe Street, a ten minute walk from Granville Station on the Expo Line or five minutes from Vancouver City Centre on the Canada Line.
