Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

Pluto TV offers new 24/7 Boruto channel, but not for Canada

While we’re still waiting for new episodes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations to drop, free streaming service Pluto TV is running a dedicated channel of all 293 episodes.

But, there’s a catch: that channel is only available in the United States. While Pluto TV is offered here in Canada, there’s still an imbalance in the content shown despite the licensee having control of the series throughout North America.

Pluto TV, owned by Paramount Skydance, uses an advertising-supported model to stream popular shows via mobile devices and web for free.

Pluto TV does offer a 24/7 ONE PIECE channel in conjunction with their Pluto Anime channel which streams the original Naruto (but not Naruto: Shippuden), Inuyasha, Inuyasha: The Final Act, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sailor Moon, and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon among others.

VIZ Media owns the license to both the Boruto anime and manga for North America, Latin America, and Oceania.

A synopsis of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations describes the series as:

Boruto Uzumaki is the energetic and headstrong son of Naruto. Finding himself in a ninja world that continues to heal, Boruto struggles to define himself amidst new shinobi technology, new threats, and new expectations placed upon him as a result of his father’s legacy.

Still looking to watch Boruto: Naruto Next Generations in Canada? Amazon’s Prime Video and Sony’s Crunchyroll are the only way, but you’ll need to purchase a subscription on either platform.

Special thanks to Justin R. for validating Prime Video.
