Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll announced they have acquired a number of new anime series which are expected to broadcast this fall. The details were revealed at the company’s industry panel at Japan Expo 2023, which was held July 13th-16th, 2023 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris, France.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
From Madhouse comes Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, following the mage Frieren and her quest to defeat the Demon King. Upon successfully completing her mission, she promises to revisit her friends whom she fought alongside. Returning, Frieren finds they have all aged greatly, whereas she hasn’t, so she decides to spend more time with the people she encounters on her adventures.
Airs globally outside of Asia on September 29th, 2023
The Demon Prince of Momochi House
A young orphan named Himari Momochi inherits her family estate, the only thing is that it resides on the boundary between her world and that of the spirits. Though it’s uninhabited, the property is home to three squatters, one of which is fulfulling Himari’s duties of protecting the two worlds.
Airs globally outside of Asia, but no date was provided.
Berserk of Gluttony
Where skills are everything, Fate — a castle guard — obtains a new skill that leaves him hungry and unfulfilled. However, because of his role, Fate stops a group of intruders in the castle and opens the door to a new life.
From ACGT, Berserk of Gluttony will air globally outside of Asia and India in October 2023.
A Girl & Her Guard Dog
Isaku Senagaki longs for a normal life. As the granddaughter of the third boss of the Senagaki crime syndicate, Isaku is always under the watchful eyes of her protectors. Looking for a change, Isaku enrolls in a faraway school, only to have the overprotective Keiya Uto lie to and pay off school officials to keep tabs on her.
From Project No.9, A Girl & Her Guard Dog will air globally outside of Asia in October 2023.
