GKIDS Films, the North American licensor, brought the film to theatres across Canada and the United States last October. They’ve partnered with Shout! Studios to distribute the home edition Blu-ray for the North American market.

Based on the manga by Shinichi Ishizuka, Blue Giant is a blend of anime and music on the big screen. The film is directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, with a screenplay by NUMBER 8 and Shinichi Ishizuka, music scored by Hiromi Uehara, cinematography by Kasumi Togo, art direction by Satoru Hirayanagi an animation NUT Co., Ltd. Playing the saxophone are Tomoaki Baba, Shun Ishiwaka on drums and pianist Hiromi Uehara.

Blue Giant premiered in Japanese theatres on February 17^th, 2023.
